A Comic About the Cutest Couple Ever: My Parents

Hello Sketchbugs,

Valentine’s Day has passed. All that heart shaped chocolate is on sale and the stores are trading all the love memorabilia for Easter memorabilia (they could wait at least for St. Patrick’s day but alas). For many (single people and couples alike) Valentine’s Day sucks. It an annoying, in your face, capitalistic holiday that encourages couples to show they love each other by buying expense gifts and parading their love in front of everyone to see.

I am not a fan of this version of the holiday but, it is nice see people in a happy and healthy relationship, whether that be with significant others, family, friends, pets or even themselves. In line with a happy, healthy relationships I wanted to share this little comic about my parents, Carole and David. The kind of couple that I found annoyingly adorable as a kid but admire greatly as an adult in her late 20s.
